Think Global, Act Local
Local Community Resource List
Bridges USA: BRIDGES unites and inspires diverse young people to become confident and courageous leaders committed to community transformation.
Serve 901: At Serve901, it's our job to guide you through everything Memphis has to teach your group. The story of the Bluff City showcases innovation, hope, and what Memphians call grit and grind. It's Elvis, FedEx, Danny Thomas, Robert Church, the Sanitation Workers Strike, Beale Street, the Yellow Fever epidemic, and Boss Crump. It's certainly not all rosy, but history and wisdom give us the opportunity to improve.
The Wolf River Conservancy: The Wolf River Conservancy is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the Wolf River and its watershed as a sustainable natural resource.
Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association: Uniting the community through service.
Service Over Self: SOS seeks to train and equip servant leaders to know how to care for the marginalized.
Room at the Inn: Room in the Inn-Memphis is an ecumenical ministry that serves people experiencing homelessness. Now beginning our eighth year, we provide emergency shelter and meals during the coldest months of the year—November through March. We are modeled after the incredibly successful Room in the Inn program that started in Nashville more than 30 years ago.
Slingshot Memphis: To lift the maximum number of our impoverished neighbors out of poverty — and keep them there — our investors, big and small, are doubling down on the people and organizations that make the most impact.
